In this London Climate Action Week event we’ll hear from Mary Creagh, Minister for Nature at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), and responsible for the Government’s circular economy policy. Minister Creagh will set out the Government’s pathway to transitioning towards a circular economy, a transition that will support sustainable economic growth and economy resilience by maximizing the value of resources, minimising waste, promoting innovation, and leading to a more resilient and prosperous future.
Following Minister Creagh’s speech, we’ll move on to a panel discussion with leaders in the circular economy on how to mainstream circularity.
The circular economy is no longer a fringe idea. It’s fast becoming a business imperative—and a cultural one. But to truly accelerate the shift, we need to bring circular principles into the mainstream of our industries, infrastructures, and imaginations.
This panel discussion addresses how we can accelerate the adoption of circular economy principles by platforming and scaling future-fit brands and businesses. Our expert speakers will explore pathways to bring sustainable lifestyles and behaviours into the mainstream.
Chaired by Rob McFaul, co-founder of Purpose Disruptors, the panel will include:
David Rakowski, Partner, ESG Advisory, Deloitte
Neda Hashemi, Brand and Marketing Lead, Ellen McArthur Foundation
