FUSION GAMES
JOINING AN INCREDIBLE LINE-UP FOR A 'SUMMER OF SPORT' ACROSS THE CITY
20 June – 30 August • Across the Fleet Street Quarter
Fleet Street Quarter is getting into the sporting spirit this summer to host the FLEET STREET QUARTER FUSION GAMES, a ten-week programme of free sporting events and leisure activities transforming some of the Quarter’s most iconic streets from Fleet Street to Chancery Lane into colourful hubs of activity, designed to inspire movement and spirited play.
Highlights include the City’s first community Wallball court in New Street Square, a vibrant sporting spectacle amidst the urban landscape adorned with a striking street art mural by celebrated artist Donough O’Malley. Wallball is already proving to be a global hit with a thriving World Tour and ongoing discussions about Olympic inclusion. This thrilling sport challenges participants to a game of skill where they hit a ball against a wall using their hands – a bit like squash, but without a racquet. Fleet Street Quarters’ eye-popping free-to-access Wallball court will offer complimentary training sessions from the UK Wallball Association, the National Governing Body and Charity for the sport. Coaches and players from Team GBR will be on site to run games and activities. It promises to be a must-visit favourite throughout the summer.
