SERVING UP SUMMER: FREE WIMBLEDON SCREENS ACROSS THE FLEET STREET QUARTER
FREE LIVE SCREENINGS OF THE 2024 WIMBLEDON TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS ARE COMING TO NEW STREET SQUARE, FLEET PLACE, AND APEX TEMPLE COURT HOTEL
This summer • Across Fleet Street Quarter
The Fleet Street Quarter is set to transform into a quintessential summer destination for sport, inviting workers, visitors and residents to bask in the excitement of the 2024 Wimbledon Tennis Championships.
From 1-14 July, Fleet Street Quarter locals are invited to relax in a sunny deck chair and watch the world’s best tennis amidst the tranquil outdoor settings of New Street Square, Fleet Place, and Apex Temple Court Hotel.
Across the two-week tournament, you can enjoy matches on the big screen live in the beautiful Apex Temple Court Hotel courtyard which will be serving up a menu of BBQ dishes and an exclusive selection of invigorating summer drinks. This includes the delicious cocktail SUMMER BOZ 12, a concoction of spiced rum, orange juice, campari, lime, sugar, and grenadine. Inspired by the Fleet Street Quarter’s rich history and honouring Charles Dickens, affectionately known as ‘Boz’ by his friends and a former journalist on Fleet Street, it is the ideal accompaniment to catching the summer rays while enjoying all the on-court action. The courtyard seating is limited to 80 guests and the tennis will be screened until 4.30pm every day during the tournament, so visitors are encouraged to reserve their place in anticipation.
Avid sport fans can also enjoy live screenings of the Euro 2024 and 2024 Paris Olympics in the Apex Hotel's courtyard as well.
In New Street Square, soak up the thrill of the Wimbledon Championship matches from Monday-Friday throughout the tournament. Boasting an impressive capacity for 500 guests, New Street Square is the perfect spot for an impromptu day of leisure, sport and enjoying a variety of courtside delights.
Tennis seekers are also in for a treat at Fleet Place, where the excitement of Wimbledon continues. Spectators can immerse themselves in the tournament’s entirety, right up until match point. With an intimate setting for just 25 fans, early arrival is recommended to secure a spot. Visitors can enjoy a selection of tasty food and drink offerings from street food provider KERB who will be serving up a storm, fit for tennis lovers.
The Fleet Street Quarter is the ultimate destination to soak up the sporty summer ahead, on a day out with family or as a lunchtime or post-work pick me up.
