CITY BIDS OFFER LOCAL BUSINESSES FREE ACCESS TO LEARNING HUB SEEDL

BUSINESSES BASED WITHIN THE CITY BIDS NOW BENEFIT FROM FREE, UNLIMITED ACCESS TO OVER 200 LIVE COURSES

City BIDs offer local businesses free access to pioneering learning hub, in partnership with SEEDL

The five City of London Business Improvement Districts - Fleet Street Quarter, Eastern City, Culture Mile, Cheapside Business Alliance, and Aldgate Connect - today announced the launch of their learning platform, in partnership with SEEDL. From today, all employees in businesses based within the City BIDs now benefit from free, unlimited access to over 200 live courses across a broad range of subjects. This new learning hub offers courses designed to upskill local employees, boost business performance, and contribute to the continued growth and success of the City and BIDs as thriving business districts.

Following on from the success of the SEEDL partnership with Harley Street BID, the City BIDs are bringing the pioneering virtual live learning service to their members and local communities. SEEDL platform courses are uniquely live interactive webinars, allowing local employees to make a date to learn on a flexible basis, accessing webinars from their home, office, or wherever is convenient.

“We’re so thrilled to be able to offer such an innovative platform to workers and businesses across our BID areas. Local employees can choose courses on a range of subjects from Retail Management and Customer Service right through to Microsoft Excel and Project Management,” said Lucy French, CEO of Fleet Street Quarter BID. “With so many types of businesses across the City, this is a great way for us to address learning needs of retailers and professional services firms alike and help with employee retention to create a brilliant, thriving local economy.”

Joanna Nash, SEEDL’s Chief Learning Officer said, “SEEDL has grown rapidly since its launch and we’re really excited to do more to support local economies. Our partnership with the City BIDs is really going to be game-changing for businesses in the City of London. Access to benefits like the SEEDL platform through the BIDs will help businesses retain employees, plus tempt new employees to their businesses. With learning being such a key part of candidate attraction and retention, we’re delighted to help these local businesses have a competitive edge. We will also be running mental wellness offerings which is something so many businesses have been asking us to offer during our research exercise.”

Nicki Palmer, BID Director, Harley Street BID, said: “Our partnership with SEEDL has been a fantastic way to make learning and development accessible to everyone in the Harley Street BID community. We’ve seen people across the district embrace the opportunity to learn new skills, explore fresh ideas, and invest in their own growth - all at a time and place that works for them. The BID is delighted to support upskilling opportunities across our business community.”

The City BID’s learning hubs are all live and local businesses can sign up by visiting https://www.seedl.com/o/fleetstreetquarter to access the service for free. An overview of available courses can be accessed HERE.
