CYCLING ROADSHOW A SUCCESS
MORE THAN 200 RIDERS TAKE PART IN SAFE CYCLING POP UP
Fleet Street Quarter's very first safe cycling pop up a success with more than 200 riders taking part in the scheme delivered in partnership by the Fleet Steet Quarter BID, the City of London Police and Dr Bike.
180 engagements were logged with cyclists riding to or through the Fleet Street Quarter area, with an additional 56 bikes security marked by the City of London Police, providing a visible deterrent to potential thieves. An HGV was also on site to provide cyclists and pedestrians with a 'view from the cab' of the vehicle, allowing individuals to experience the view that HGV drivers have of the road, helping raise awareness of blindspots.
Due to the success of the event there will be another Cycle Roadshow at the end of June with details to follow.
