CITY BIDS OFFER SAFE HAVEN INFORMATIONAL WEBINAR AND TRAINING

BECOME A SAFE HAVEN BUSINESS TO MAKE THE CITY OF LONDON A SAFE PLACE TO VISIT, LIVE, AND WORK

Tuesday 14th April 12-12.30pm | Tuesday 21st April 12-12.45pm

Join City BIDs as we partner with Our Safer City and Safer Business Network to learn more about how to become a Safe Haven.

We need your support to help maintain and improve the City of London as a safe and great place to visit, live and work. This drop-in informational webinar has been created to help raise awareness of the Safe Haven initiative and provide businesses with a better understanding of what it means to become a Safe Haven. The training session will provide practical guidance on the Safe Haven Scheme, including the responsibilities of participating venues, how staff can recognise when someone may require help, and the appropriate steps to take to provide support in a safe and reassuring way.

During these sessions, we will outline the purpose of the programme, the benefits of taking part, and the practical steps involved in becoming a Safe Haven location. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions, discuss any queries, and explore how their organisation can contribute to creating a safer and more supportive environment.

The City BIDs are delivering this webinar series in partnership with Our Safer City and the Safer Business Network, bringing together expertise and resources to support businesses in playing an active role in improving safety and wellbeing across the city.

Becoming a Safe Haven is a practical way for businesses to let people know that support is available should they suddenly need help or feel vulnerable. Office blocks, shops, cafes, pubs, churches, libraries, and other venues have already become Safe Havens, which are supported by the City of London Crime Prevention Association, The City of London Corporation and The City of London Police.

The City Safe Haven registration is simple, with a streamlined process that builds on facilities most organisations already have - just complete the online registration form to get started

Your support could prove invaluable in making London a safer place for women and girls.
