DISCOVER FLEET STREET QUARTER 2025

OUR YEARLY PROGRAMME OF EVENTS DESIGNED TO HELP NEW STARTERS GET TO KNOW THE QUARTER

Tuesday 30th September – Wednesday 8th October Across Fleet Street Quarter

Discover Fleet Street Quarter returns for its fourth year! Five days of activities and events connecting and celebrating our vibrant community. We created Discover Fleet Street Quarter to help new starters get to know the Quarter, local businesses and others working in the area.

Get ready for creative workshops, wellness sessions, social events and captivating walking tours that reveal the stories behind this historic patch of the western City of London.

Discover Fleet Street Quarter is also open to those who want to rediscover the area, make new connections or just take part in unique local events.

All events cost just £3 (+ Eventbrite booking fee) or are free. This small charge is to ensure that each one of these fantastic events is well attended and avoids too many drop-outs, meaning there will be more people to get to know and everyone who wants to attend a specific event has the opportunity to. This nominal fee is far below the face value for each of these events, and all money collected (minus Eventbrite's booking fees) will be donated to our charity partner, WWF.

We believe promoting vibrant and progressive cultural offerings is crucial in attracting new audiences to the area. With these fresh, new audiences comes new talent that allows us to build a more cutting-edge offer for our local community.

The full Discover Fleet Street Quarter 2025 programme is below, all tickets go live to book on Friday 12th September at 10am, except 'Fleet Street: A Stroll Down the Street of Shame' which is available to book now.

For almost 300 years, Fleet Street was the boisterously beating heart of the British newspaper industry, at its peak producing six daily newspapers and numerous weeklies and periodicals. The church and the law, handily near, were both consumers and sources of news. Ancillary industries of printers, pubs and paper boys added to the bustle. It ended in the late 20th century, but the street goes on - and is about to enter a new phase of its existence.

This event is part of our monthly lecture series with Dr Johnson's House, covering a variety of topics with a focus on Fleet Street and London history.
