CYCLE SECURITY WITH THE CITY OF LONDON POLICE & FLEET STREET QUARTER

Thursday 4th September • Intersection of Farringdon Street and Stonecutter Street


We're hosting another Cycling Roadshow with the City of London Police this September. There’s no need to book, just head over to the intersection of Farringdon Street and Stonecutter Street any time between 8am – 10am.


Available is security marking from the City of London Police and an opportunity to speak to officers directly about concerns around cycle safety in the area. You can also get practical tips will help keep your bike safe and out of the hands of thieves – and also advise on how to get it back if it is stolen. Bike security marking is a highly effective, visible deterrent to bike thieves. They know that if they are caught with a registered bike, the owner can be traced and they will be arrested.


Dr Bike will be on hand to offer free bike repairs, safety checks and servicing, as well as advice on upkeep from their expert. There will also be an opportunity to 'trade places' and sit in an HGV to experience the view of lorry drivers from their cab, something equally useful for cyclists and pedestrians alike.


The Love to Ride team will also be there to provide info about their game changing app. Love to Ride is a friendly, fun, online platform dedicated to promoting active travel and healthy lifestyles with its engaging cycling challenges and cutting-edge technology. Since its inception, more than 700 thousand riders worldwide have used Love to Ride and joined its friendly and inclusive online cycling community.


We've partnered with Love to Ride to get our workplaces unleashing their competitive side with fun and friendly workplace competition. Co-workers can join their workplace profile on Love to Ride and compete to earn the most points and top the Fleet Street Quarter leaderboard in their size category. Speak to a member of their team at our August Cycling Roadshow to find out how you and your company can get involved.


If you work in an office at 20 Farringdon Street there will be an opportunity to speak with a member of the Love to Ride team and a City of London Police officer between 8am - 9am.
