DENTONS #POSITIVEACTION CAMPAIGN
HOW THIS FLEET STREET QUARTER BUSINESS IS DRIVING EVERYDAY SUSTAINABILITY

As part of our local sustainability drive and our efforts to encourage Fleet Street Quarter businesses to participate in Earth Hour and Earth Day, local law firm Dentons has shared insights into their sustainability campaign.
We hope their initiative inspires other local businesses to take meaningful steps toward sustainability. If your business has a scheme or project focused on environmental responsibility, we’d love to hear about it, share your efforts with us!
"The #PositiveAction sustainability campaign highlights the small yet impactful steps our people take — such as switching off unused electronics to reduce energy consumption or choosing reusable alternatives to minimise waste, all to be environmentally sustainable.
These collective efforts contribute to our broader commitment to tackling climate change and driving measurable progress. We all have a role to play in decarbonising our operations, and the campaign reinforces that when we work together and adopt sustainable behaviours, we can make a real difference.
At Dentons, sustainability is a core priority, and we are committed to embedding it into our operations and workplace culture. We recognise that meaningful change happens when sustainability becomes a natural part of daily decision-making. Effective communication and engagement are essential to influencing behaviour and achieving lasting impact. By highlighting small but significant actions across our offices, we reinforce the crucial role each individual plays in achieving our net zero target.
We’ve already taken several steps to promote sustainability across our offices. In Dublin, we launched a printing case study, providing colleagues with monthly challenges, signage, and tips to reduce unnecessary printing. As part of our autumn energy-saving efforts, we placed reminder posters on meeting room doors and introduced informative screensavers encouraging colleagues to switch off lights and monitors.
During Food Waste Action Week, we raised awareness about food waste, shared practical reduction tips, and collaborated with our in-house caterers in London to offer a zero-waste menu featuring leftover-based recipes. To further improve waste management, we’ve introduced more segregated recycling bins across our offices, making responsible disposal easier for everyone.
Our journey doesn’t stop here. We continue to identify small but impactful behavioural changes that our people can adopt to further reduce our environmental footprint—because collective action drives real change."
