LIFE SAVING SKILLS IN ACTION: STOP THE BLEED TRAINING A SUCCESS
FLEET STREET QUARTER AND THE CITY OF LONDON POLICE TEAM UP TO DELIVER FREE COMMUNITY SAFETY TRAINING
We are thrilled to report that our Stop the Bleed training event, held in partnership with the City of London Police, was a resounding success! We welcomed members of our community for a drop-in training session on how to manage severe bleeding in emergency situations.
The event saw an impressive turnout, with 58 live demonstrations conducted and 117 total community engagements. These numbers highlight the enthusiasm and commitment of our local community in taking proactive steps toward safety and preparedness.
Attendees had the opportunity to meet and interact with their local policing team, who provided hands-on training on essential bleeding control techniques. The training covered key skills including applying appropriate pressure and a tournequet to slow bleeding, and using haemostatic dressings and chest seals to act swiftly in the event of a serious injury.
This event continues the Fleet Street Quarter's focus on engaging with our businesses community in public safety initiatives. By educating and equipping local workers with practical skills, we're taking proactive steps to create a safer and more secure district for everyone.
Thank you to the City of London Police for their support and expertise in delivering this important training for our community. Keep an eye on the Fleet Street Quarter website for future free training events and our ongoing Safety Hub series with the City of London Police.
