THE TIPPERARY, LONDON'S OLDEST IRISH PUB HAS NOW REOPENED

ONE OF FLEET STREET'S MANY ICONIC HISTORIC PUBS

One of Fleet Street’s most iconic pubs has reopened after closing during the pandemic. The Tipperary started life around 1605, as The Boar’s Head and was said to be the first pub outside of Ireland to serve Guinness.

Now reopened and operated by Dominus, known for building hotels for the likes of Hilton as well as other developments in the Fleet Street Quarter, the pub will be independent and flanked either side by a new florist and a café set to open shortly.

Work has been completed to restore the downstairs pub, with the four-story pub's upstairs areas still being restored with a whiskey still to come on the first floor. Dominus have also added a covered garden area with seating and are planning to begin serving food in the near future.

The Tipperary is also set to repeat history and become the first (and only) pub outside of Ireland to serve an IPA from the Galway Bay brewery, who already have some of their other brews on the pub's lineup.
