This talk will explore what social value and social outcomes means at Mott MacDonald, why it’s important for the Business Improvement District and businesses within it, and touch on how you can deliver this to foster benefits for the wider community.

You will leave the session with a greater understanding around the importance of social value and social outcomes, and how you can effectively deliver and measure this to create long-lasting positive outcomes for your communities.

Speakers:

Sarah Marshall is a Principal Consultant in Social Outcomes at Mott MacDonald. Sarah comes from a background in citizen engagement, social research and urban planning to now help clients across a range of different sectors ensure they are delivering socially inclusive projects and programmes, providing the best possible outcomes for communities. Sarah has been part of the team who have developed TfL’s Sustainable Development Framework, and Mott MacDonald’s newly launched Moata People and Planet digital tool, which helps clients to centre decision making about assets around social and environmental priorities.

Natalie Harvey is a Consultant delivering social value for large scale infrastructure projects across the UK. Natalie has also supported the development of a consistent approach to monitoring and measuring social value at Mott MacDonald through leading the development of the Social Value Delivery Model - our digital tool for measuring social value. Natalie is passionate about sharing her insight to create positive social change for communities.
